
Andre Rothblatt
Founder + Principal
Born and raised in San Francisco, Andre has lived, studied, and practiced architecture throughout the city’s many chapters and transitions
His first job after graduating from U.C. Berkeley with BA in Architecture was as a construction laborer for a local contractor, soon after he obtained his building contractors license before getting his architectural license in 1991.
In 1993, Andre established his own architecture firm, focusing on a wide spectrum of styles that are tailored to the unique characteristics of each neighborhood and region. Throughout his career, Andre was been an active member of the local chapter of The American Institute of Architects, Bernal Heights Preservation, and a founding member of the Tompkins Stairway Garden.
Andre has a short commute from his home in Bernal Heights, where he lives with his wife, Anastasia to his office in the heart of Dogpatch. His work has been recognized by the San Francisco Arts Commission, SF Chronicle, San Francisco Magazine, and Fine Homebuilding Magazine among others.

Architectural Designer
Rafael's passion for design, architecture, and all creative endeavors began at a young age, growing up in a small town surrounded by a diverse extended family. It was during his formative years that Rafael discovered his calling in the design field. Following an internship at a prestigious residential interior design studio in San Francisco and the completion of his Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design, Rafael realized that his true passion lay in the realm of architecture.
His journey into the world of architecture began with Andre, who opened the doors for him as a Draftsman. Over time, Rafael has evolved into a well-rounded Architectural Designer, gaining valuable experience through various residential projects. From envisioning the big picture to meticulously attending to technical details, Rafael wholeheartedly embraces all aspects of project delivery.
With a deep love for design, a keen eye for aesthetics, and a commitment to architectural excellence, Rafael's dedication shines through in every project he undertakes. His unique blend of creativity, technical expertise, and a comprehensive understanding of the field positions him as a valuable asset in the realm of architecture.

Decided to become an architect in 7th grade while in George Schultz's drafting class at Herbert Hoover Middle School in San Francisco.
Graduated University of California at Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Architecture.

Obtained my California contractors license and started Rothblatt Design & Construction Company.
Stopped working as a contractor and got my first job in an architecture firm, working as a draftsman.

Obtained my architect’s license from the State of California.
Started my current business Andre Rothblatt Architecture, working out of my one bedroom apartment.
